HSHBA invites business owners catchment area ( 135th Street to 155St, Broadway from 145th Street-155th Street, St. Nicholas Avenue from 145th Street - 150th Street and West 145th from Broadway to St, Nicholas Avenue) with special focus on small and retail business ( but relevant to all) The commercial district our organization serves has seen improvements like decrease of vacancy and crimes rates,some business increasing sales revenues while others experience decrease. We are working to increase retail diversity, restore our NYC clean streets Program that provides supplementary maintenance to businesses ( cleaner sidewalks,graffiti-ridden storefronts,etc) negative conditions create the perception of disinvestment in our neighborhood and deter growth. We aim to create a Merchant Association that will help to revitalize the commercial corridor and attract shoppers to the district.
